The Francis Coales Charitable Foundation was established in 1975 to provide grants for the structural repair of buildings built before 1875 in the counties of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire, although there is no territorial restriction in respect of the conservation of monuments and monumental brasses.
