FRANCIS COALES CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

  THE COALES MEMORIAL CHALICE

In order to commemorate John Coales,
our Founder, a silver chalice has been made
bearing the Foundation’s achievement of arms together with an inscription:
Spacer
‘Remember before God – John Coales –
Founder of the Francis Coales Foundation.’

The Chalice was made by Barry Whitmond
at Burghley House, Stamford (Linconshire).

The Chalice is awarded annually to the parish/applicant who, in the opinion of the Trustees, has demonstrated a sustained record of completing restoration/repair projects receiving multiple grants from the Foundation. The chalice is intended for use in celebration of the Holy Communion.

The Chalice has been awarded to:
2012 – Cockayne Hatley (Bedfordshire)
2013 – Stewkley (Buckinghamshire)
2014 – Helmdon (Northamptonshire)
2015 – Cranfield (Bedfordshire)
